Goals for 2010
Many of the foundation short term goals can only be accomplished by the support of you, the West Virginia Rugby Supporters. We have many lofty future goals for the foundation however, for 2010, we have decided to tackle these goals:
Fields:
In 2009, new WVU President Jim Clements provided Club Sports a $1,000,000 stipend that was to be used specifically for field improvement and construction. In 2010, we will finalize plans for the field space at the former St. Francis School location.
Financial Support for clubs:
In 2010 we have set a goal of raising $20,000 to support the growth of rugby in WestVirginia. Please help us support the great sport we all love.
WVRF Rugby Equipment:
- 20 Rucking Pads/Hex Pads - Have obtained 4 currently
- New Goal Post Pads - Have 2 full sets (8 total)
- 40 New Balls
- 50 Pennies
- 2 Sets of Corner/Out of Bounds Flags - Nearly Complete
- 4 sets of 50 cones
- 24 Water Bottles and Water Bottle Carriers
- 6 Contact Tops/Body Suits
- 6 Tackling Dummies - Have obtained 1 currently
- 4 Speed Ladders
- 5 Speed Chutes
- 5 Evasion Belts
- 2 Large Dry Erase Board w/ markers
- 5 6 six portable insta-benches for games
